Community Relations
Community Relations Education *********** Because of FBB Inc’s, commitment to beauty education internationally and our employee education background in the ethnic hair care industry, we often we get requests from beauty product importers and women across the world to provide self-esteem building workshops in communities that have no access to funding or trained facilitators. _______________________________________ We work directly with license professionals and training consultants to develop solid beauty, self esteem workshop, and entrepreneurial curriculums suitable to a broad spectrum of demographic international groups. The same teams of skilled professionals who develop our workshop programs oversee the creation of educational materials to be published and used both independently and in schools, women's organizations, community centers, YWCA's, etc. Our goal with these materials is to provide women with the tools to empower themselves and each other. _____________________________________________________ Afro hair is usually dry and brittle, and doesn't grow in the same way as Caucasian hair. Black skin has more active sebaceous glands, which can result in an oilier complexion. It also tends to be more susceptible to skin discoloration due to its high melanin content and its effects on the skin's pigmentation. Asian skin is also prone to hyper-pigmentation and dark patches. It is slightly thicker than white skin, well protected by melanin and sensitive to temperature changes. Latino skin, however, can go golden in the sun but quickly turns an olive colour without it. With such obvious differences, it's not surprising that ethnic consumers have long felt neglected by the industry and dissatisfied with the variety of products available to them ( Source: Soap Perfumery & Cosmetics, March 2002) ________________________________________________________ This market research is very crucial in understanding the needs of the ethnic market especially for participating in a program of seminars and research exchange. Our engagement in collaborative thinking across cultures will enhance interactive educational outreach programs, workshops, design and publication of written materials, production of media programs and events which raise awareness of these important issues for women. _____________________________________________ According to “You Magazine”, there are times in many successful people's lives when their confidence is shaken and their self-esteem turns low. Our psychological conditions vary from one situation to another. Actually a whole variety of factors contribute to low self-esteem, including poverty and discrimination, deprived relationships with parents, relatives or siblings, being the victim of a physically, sexually, or mentally abusive relationship, or experiencing biased practices in one's personal or professional life. ************************************** The feeling of satisfaction that women have with their appearance and performance make them feel useful and worthy. Their self-esteem and self-confidence are essential to their health and well being - poor or elite. __________________________________________________________ People with high self-esteem believe that they must prevent negative messages from the past and focus on all the present positive aspects. Negative voices from the past should not have the power to control us and impact our entire lives. To develop high self-esteem, it's critical to recognize that everyone has a basic list of human rights that they are entitled to. People - especially women with high self-esteem enjoy a feeling of confidence. They understand their own self-worth, have self-control and are willing to take on challenging tasks. _____________________________________________ Conclusion Confident women enjoy experimenting with their looks, their environment and this boosts their morale plus relieves stress. With a little imagination and some consistent efforts FBB Incorporated can also bring positive changes in their appearance and personality. If one goat can affect the lives of so many, it is without a doubt that we will be able to affect the lives of so many women with the excitement of beauty. ****************************************** We are a reflection of our customers and our customers are a reflection of us. Therefore our message to maintain and magnify individual beauty will be passed on as women use our products or become entrepreneurs through retailing our products. ********************************************************* According to multicultural marketing expert Rossman the Asian-Americans value tradition over change, so touting “new and improved” is probably not the most effective way to reach the Asian consumer. Instead, Asian audiences tend to respond better to messages that stress reputation, reliability, and quality. The Hispanic market, she says, places high importance on family and children, their ethnicity, emotions, and a devotion to religion and tradition. They tend to be brand conscious and brand loyal, but also place a large emphasis on thriftiness and will shop where the value is. _________________________________________________ African-Americans are concerned with self-image, style, and trend-setting, and use shopping as a social occasion, Rossman notes. The products and services they choose tend to reflect their desire to combine black culture and traditions with their increasing prosperity. Rossman believes successful marketing to blacks must use messages that reflect a positive image of them as consumers. One of our goals is to use the media to provide positive messages about self-image to the broadest audience possible. FBB Incorporated will provide ongoing distribution of educational videos and documentary programs that fit into this category to non-profit organizations that lack the funds to purchase the works on their own. FBB Inc, will also identify additional topics worthy of media exposure and help seek funding and distribution for their production. **************************************** "Never bend your head, always hold it high.
